Yellow is the Belt of commitment
We want to work on bailing automation and fear management (and body awareness) till you can overshoot on-demand in the middle of the room.
We'll need to focus on:
🤸♂️ Bail B2W
hand movement, leg movement, timing
✋Fingers
how and when to use our fingers to brake momentum, control our fall, and start balancing (ping ponging is a requirement, double pushing is a bonus)
😱 Fear
To conquer fear enough to be able to take-off C2W
🧘 Body awareness
Freeze and bail at balancing distance, then FS
How to train in this cycle?
Fear and body awareness take more time.
- Make sure you keep refining your kick-up softness B2W and learn how to use the finger to freeze, at shaping distance first, and at balancing distance second.
- Take all the time needed (and follow the protocols) to conquer the Leap of Faith, ie being able to take off C2W and bail with little to no fear.
- Spend enough time on 2 and 3 till things become more automated. Only then does Step 6 and Step 7 - which require you to do all at once - make sense.
